The Trials Line started with a simple belief: there's greatness inside every rider, and trials is one of the best ways to find it. Too few young people ever get the chance to try. We're here to change that.
Trials is a small, tight-knit sport — riders scattered across cities, teaching themselves, riding alone. We know that world firsthand, because we grew up in it. We fell for the challenge: the endless problem-solving, the feeling of cleaning a line you couldn't touch a month ago, the character it quietly builds in you.
What we didn't have was a support system — honest coaching, the right gear, and people who show up for you. The Trials Line is a family-run shop in Layton, Utah built to be exactly that. What started as sharing the sport we love has become a mission to grow it, and to help the next generation of riders unlock everything they're capable of.

We grow trials in the US by developing resilient, competitive athletes — and empowering young people to unlock their potential through the sport.
Trials becomes a respected, globally recognized sport with a thriving US presence — where young people discover their potential, US athletes compete on the world stage, and trials changes lives.

Growing the sport means showing what's possible. Our riders take their training to events like Bentonville Bike Fest — because a thriving US trials scene starts with athletes who show up, compete, and inspire the next rider to try.
Six principles that shape how we coach, what we sell, and how we show up for riders.
High standards in coaching and gear — and the nerve to innovate where the industry just follows convention. We look for opportunity where others see limits.
No rider rides alone. We build the support system we wish we'd had.
Straight answers, always — even when the news is hard.
We lead with genuine value — coaching, resources, community — and trust that the rest follows. The bike is a starting point, not the product.
Small daily action builds the rider — and the person — you want to become. Progress compounds.
We believe there's greatness in everyone. Our job is to reveal it and help you develop it.
Progress in trials is slow, honest, and earned. That's exactly why it's worth it.
There are no shortcuts in trials. Every line you clean is proof of the reps you put in — and that lesson sticks with you everywhere.
You'll fail a move a hundred times before it's yours. Trials teaches you to keep showing up until the breakthrough comes.
Every obstacle is a puzzle. Break it down, commit to the line, and clear what looked impossible. That mindset carries off the bike, too.
A father and son who fell for trials — and built The Trials Line to share it.

Grant got hooked on trials at 11 and taught himself the hard way — no coach, no resources, just hours on a single line before and after school. That grind took him to the Bentonville Bike Fest and on to the UCI World Youth Games in Poland, then into the top ranks of North American trials. Today he still trains hard and competes, while running The Trials Line and taking on the role of head coach — giving riders the coaching he wishes someone had given him.

Cord is the reason The Trials Line exists. He introduced Grant to the sport, then pushed him to take the reins and turn a passion into a business. He's been around trials for years and watched it grow — and he still gets out and pushes himself on the bike. Family comes first for Cord, which is exactly the spirit he built the company on.
Growing trials means connecting the riders who love it. That's why we built The Trials Line app — a free way to find riders near you, share the best spots, and turn solo sessions into group rides. The shop, the coaching, and the app all serve the same goal: a stronger, more connected trials community.

Whether you're curious, committed, or somewhere in between — there's a place for you on the line.
